Authors Note: Based on my story/au Little Turtle Lost. For those who do not know the story: donnie is 10 years younger then the others in this au.
Donnie looked left and right to ensure no-one was seeing him and then darted to the next hiding place while being careful to not drop the item he just retrieved from the previous room. Failing this mission was not an option! Donnie took a deep breath and looked towards his goal, and across the huge open space between where he was now and his target. Going around would take longer, then darting across the open space. Plus that the risk of being seen was huge. After some thinking, he decided to take the safer long route. Slowly and silently he moved towards his goal while taking care to not be seen by anyone. Now he was around the open space, and looked at his next obstacle: fire-stairs leading up.
"this is going to be the hardest part…"the boy whispered to himself. After all, no matter how quiet he would try to be the stairs would probably make some noise. He looked around , but there were no alternatives. The only way up where the fire stairs. A noise from the other side of the open space turned out to be his blessing: music. Loud enough to make him going up the fire stairs unheard. He quickly made his way up, before he would be detected.
Finally! His goal was right in front of him. He walked to the door, and slipped into the room of his older brother to deliver the goods. In the little boy's opinion, nothing was worse than being send to your room without dessert.
